The Studio

History

12 O’clock Studios was founded in january, 2011. In the little port town of Karlshamn in southern Sweden, a group of friends at the Blekinge Institute of Technology wanted to create something spectacular for their bachelors thesis. The key words were; 3D, high production values, narrative focus, and horror. Thus the concept for The Horror at MS Aurora was born. A detailed business plan was created and the company’s thoughts, opinions and focus on short games, non-violence horror, the episodic format, and interactive story telling were the fruits of that labour.

From this sprang the company, it’s entry into Blekinge Business Incubator and The Game Incubator Network, the successful funding for the game, and the long and hard development of it’s tools, processes and of course the actual game development. Business relations with Imagination Studios and Dynamedion were successfully engaged for the motion capture and symphonic orchestra recordings of the score, both of which has been a pure pleasure.

The Horror at MS Aurora is the first game in a franchise in the making, and is due Q1 2013.
